Default Freaking out

Ok....

A week ago everything was gravy. Slowly but surely while I was using 2.7.2 the USB audio started to fail. At first I could reset the virus either fully power down or just restart and sounds would come back via USB.

Now... No sound via USB at all. I have gone on to try 2.7.3, 2.7.5, 3.0.0, and finally even tried going back to 2.7.0074 or whatever it is.

The virus will transmit perfectly out of the audio jacks but USB audio is gone.

WHAT DO I DO?

Any help much appreciated. I just don't want to fully reformat.

Thanks to all the infected.

Reformatting is the easy way out. Use your hax !

Diagnosis:

Have you tried a different host/sequencer?
Have you tried the Virus in a different computer?
Have you tried a different USB slot?
Have you tried a different USB cable?
Check Device Manager (right click "My computer" > Properties > Hardware Tab > Device Manager Button) to see if any of your USB drivers are reporting an error or address conflict

Resolution:

Try doing a System Restore
Find, download and reinstall USB drivers
Ensure that USB 2.0 is enabled in your motherboard's BIOS
In device manager, ensure that the computer MAY NOT shut down the USB device after a certain amount of time of inactivity
Uninstall and reinstall Virus Control
Check Power Options in Control Panel and make sure the computer does not enter a state of hibernation or sleep or turn its hard disks off after a certain amount of inactivity

before getting all crazy with reformatting... try running your software update so that you can get to 10.4.11.. as 10.4.1 is well outdated.

... and 10.4.6 is the supported minimum. as for the silent USB outs, i think that might be 3.0 public beta related.
