All this music nonsense. It's bound to get on your neighbours' nerves.

Well, I'm sure I'm not a noisy neighbour. I only use headphones. But my bloody upstairs neighbours. SHE playes the piano (not too badly but I hear every note of course) and her bloody son has given up the hard-pad v-drums for - the fucking electric guitar which he plays awfully, out of tune and through a fucking shitty amp.

How many times can I listen to Iron Man and Smoke on the Water before I fucking kill him?

Hmmm... I probably count - frequent parties and jam sessions, often till 6am or so.

Aint so bad for the neighbours though - have a sound meter and discovered I can get away with near club levels inside the house without actually pissing anyone off - even with the back doors open - still unlikely to deeply irratate anyone as no houses directly in the firing line

Just as well really - not unusual to have the equiv of an adhoc and more than slight drunk band in the house who suddenly fancy having a jam at 5am or so, not only on electronics, but sax, guitar, bass, v-drums, vocals as well...

As for neighbour twanging away on a guitar in a flat - thats simple - shoot the bastard!!! If you want to make a hell of a noise - then at least get yourself a place thats good for it... detached, double glazed, reasonable gap to neighboring houses etc...


Other option - rent and bloody huge PA system for the weekend, stick some ear plugs in and let rip with a drum machine and a bunch of synths - for ultra nastiness - get a *huge* sub and attach it to the ceiling - (their floor)...

I got lucky. The apartment complex I moved into is full of mostly college and grad students . . . they're just as noisy as I am.

No, We're rather a quiet bunch but from time to time all hell breaks loose.. We were probably alot worse before when we had our projector and had a borrowed a soundsystem.

Hmmm, i guess i´m pretty quit most the time. I´m never noisy at night because i wouldn´t want to wake Thor. The worst must be my full size piano that proberbly goes right through to the 3rd floor (i live on the 1st floor) since the house i live in is more than 100 years old (you can hear if the guy upstairs forgets to take his shoes of). But still, i only play it in the day hours so i guess i´m not to horrible to live next to...

My next door neighbor (since moved) called the cops on me because I was jamming out to my stereo while unloading/unpacking boxes.

I was pissed off and went over there to chew him out right after the officer left.

Then a few times that summer me and my friends would greet the neighbors at 5:30 AM as the neighbors stepped out onto their deck to smoke there first cigarrette. They started smoking on the front porch...

Now since I've re-produced I've tamed down quite a bit...but only temporarily.

Yes mate, so true that. Very careful these days. Overdone too often and it takes days to recover. As well as being totally fucking pointless. If I listen to stuff on cans for example on Widows Media Player I use 30% volume max.
