The demo is good, but i noticed a 'lack of something' in general.
Maybe the sounds are too much raw, but i think the Virus can go very much far beyond that.

No doubt, you are correct and that "something missing" is absolutely no attack or decay parameter on envelopes...with the limitations given, I thought it was best demo I had heard though!

Of COURSE the Virus is a much deeper synth! I think the only two other synths I have that actually rival the Virus is DSI Mono Evolver Keyboard and the Waldorf Q, of which, is actually more modulation rich and a VERRRRRY deep synth engine with 5 osc's, 4-seven stage loopable envelopes, etc....but realize I am comparing it to my Virus KC as am sure the Ti line is much deeper. There's actually ALOT of Waldorf DNA in the code of pre-Ti Virus because when Waldorf went bankrupt, a good portion of the creative people from Waldorf went to Access and I read even helped development of the first Ti Virus.
I am not interested in The Rocket. Only thing I want is an all analog for dedicated bass duties and the Moog Minitaur is too limited, but like the small form factor of new Moog Sub Phatty and the fact unlike a lot of other candidates, the Sub Phatty sends a midi cc for every minute knob movement and can be entirely automated via DAW. The smaller two octave keyboard does not bother me because for mostly bass it is fine but it's capable of doing higher octave mini-moogish stuff as well. Have grown a bit tired of waiting for Waldorf and Pulse 2 and although can get around matrix interface with Blofeld no problem, I want keys and small form factor.

So my two choices are the Korg MS20 Mini and the Moog Sub Phatty.

Stefan Trippler is a great sound designer and has contributed to most synths talked about here.
