I second this, your ti2 could be malfunctioning. Or it could be a software issue because hardware can be as great as you can make it, if the software/firmware is shit it will perform like a slow turd.

Sorry, I use cubase so I wouldn't be able to send a project compatible with logic. Just seemed really weird that if I backed off a bit it worked fine, but couldn't stress it quite as much as my ti1.

Maybe my polar is by some fluke more capable than some? All I know is that both shared the same operating system (firmware), and were used on the same daw (identical configuration).

I've since returned the ti2, so maybe we'll never know unless someone else could do a similar test (maxing out a ti1 and seeing if a ti2 has trouble keeping up with the same project...
