For example -
In Voice Edit, set up soft knob 1 as any MIDI contoller (e.g. "Control 09").
In the mod matrix, assign Control 09 to Filter 1 Cutoff.
If you set the mod amount to +10, knob's full range will only add 10 to the cutoff. This also works with the mod wheel, or any sliders/faders your controller keyboard may have.

Note that you can't limit the range of the Virus' hardwired knobs (e.g the Filter Cutoff knob) - but then, why would you want to?
