try these two sound shaping manuals the art and science of dance music production

second edition rick snowman dance music manual focal press and the remixer`s bible build better beats by francis preve great price aswell

hard trance, trance, progressive....it doesnt matter, the sounds are pretty much the same, in the end if it sounds good then it is good

Yes, but in my opinion these trance leads etc. are the easiest sounds to make on the virus. Not to mention there are a billion different presets for them already.

I'm more interested in creating lush pads and atmospheric sounds.

I guess it all depends on what you're into hey. It's good to have differing tastes.

Seconded... I've sort of learnt how to make leads etc but I'd love to see some pad or atmos tutorials, if anyone would be keen to share., some of the presets on the virus still blow my mind wondering how they are constructed.
