I reckon it too from somewhere!!!
It really helps me to be creative but on the other hand it makes it a lot harder on the technical and writing side.

I run the bugger through an old Mackie desk with 'colourful' pre's. Add's a subtle distortion.sounds shit on most things but adds a new dimension to some of my fave analogy bass and detuned lead patches. When u need a bit of grime. Oh, and drum sounds benefit somewhat from this processing i feel.

A trick I really like to use which offers a lot of interesting and sometimes unexpected results is to modulate with the LFOs the volumes of different oscillators.... using LFO 1 and LFO2 with different rates and waveforms to modulate Oscillators 1 and 2 independently, works great with pad-like sounds with delay and reverb processed at the end...

Or if you SYNC them to clock, you can get great arpegiator like rythmical sounds where each oscillator works a sound, and can create an interesting
and highly tweakable pattern.
