the way Access' site is coded, it makes it difficult to directly link to specific pages on their site. Go to www.access-music.de - select support - download area and scroll down until you see the tutorial for cubase.

Still feels pretty heavy.

I still can not record via USB. It can not be that hard, I have gone through the tutorial and no luck.

I can see volume on the master channel.

I am using the Virus as a souncard does this stop me from recording audio?

Any help appreciated.

I have a similar issue with my Snow.
I'd like to know as well, how to record it.
Only way so far was using Silverspike Tapeit, but that's just a workaround, which isn't what I want.

Hi langer,

I can understand you. I also didn't get that out until now.

I must complain here one thing :
---
I really do not understand why a company like Access can build such beautiful high-class hw synthesizer, but do spent so less effort in the documentation? Whats about a synthesizer that is so powerful, but the most people use just 30% of it because the rest will not be understood for normal user (not experts) because so less documented.

E.g. I bought a snow. The quick reference you can forget. Then there is a online reference for the snow where things are just explained as a software programmer would do (Function xy = This is the function to do xy). And this reference covers not even all menues of the snow.
You have there another online documentation, but it is for the big virus ti. So you can begin to wonder what in this documentation is the same as for the snow, and what does not apply to it.
---

In case of recording through USB:

Up to now I record via sound card where the audio out of snow is connected to the line in of the sound card. It is not really intelligent to that because you have a DA and then a AD conversion without need. But so far.

Yesterday I bought a new DAW (MAGIX Music Studio, maybe only known here in Germany). Its totally new, so did not come to that point.

But I made a simple test without a DAW/sequenzer. I just play the snow via midi keyboard and tried to record that via Audacity. When I select the audio input device there is really one called "Virus TI Audio 2.8.14". But nothing is recorded if I do while playing on keyboard.

It may be related to the settings in the COMMON menu called "Surround". But whatever I configure here (E.g. USB1 L+R or USB2 L+R) nothing changes. It could be that I am completely wrong here, and USB audio can only be returned in sequencer software. Hope I will find that out learning more with the Music Studio.

Check your cubase inputs (F4 in Cubase SX3/4/5)

you can record the USB inputs like you would record any other VST instrument. consult your sequencer manual for further reference.

Hi Everyone

My first post.

I just wanted to help with this thread if possible.

I’m not sure that I’ve understood the problem correctly, but I can either “bounce” or “record to an audio track” any of the 3 USB inputs.

I am using Logic Pro 8.02. I bounce / record them exactly as I do any other VI. For example, I play back an existing MIDI track to “play” the TI while also recording an audio track (bussed from the output of the TI) and all works well. The only thing I cannot do is freeze the track, but that is a well documented feature.

Is this what you are trying to do, or have I missed the point?

Best regards
