This happens whilst playing the virus suite , all is ok if i play the virus out 1 l/r but when i go through usb 1 l/r i get crackles , theres no crackles when i use the virus soundcard for audio samples in ableton too , it looks like i need a new soundcard for my set up , bit annoying really hmmmm

Sounds like your ASIO sample size is set too small.
Have you tried adding milk? (OLOLOLOL!! :P) -Annikk
