1. what do they mean by "Last but not least, a modification to the main "VCA" algorithm enables OS3 users to design gating FX known from electro and minimal influenced music.
I haven't figured that one out yet.
2. I just read in the addendum that some hosts will have the delay, and there is nothing they can do about it, which makes me sad

so does
"Use the Characters section to apply subtle changes to sound of the filters, the oscillators, and the character
of the nonlinearities and distortions throughout the instrument."
mean that this isnt an "effect" like you put in the signal chain... but more of a under the hood tweaking of the fundamental synth engine?

yes it does exactly that, but I kind of can't be bothered using it, and it doesnt say what each one does, even in the demo video Ben Crosland is just like "They can make it emulate the sound of famous analog synths"
well, which ones!?

I could see using all the new DSP power. In songs that are mostly TI, I often hit the wall with polyphony.
Here's the catch...
It's that wall that keeps me in check and tells me. "Hey Andrew, chill out..." Then I go.... "Oh yeah... " The world of TI polyphony has made me lavish all my music in sonic possiblity, and pay less attention to all the silence that makes dance music pop. I think the TI has the perfect amount of voices...
I am happy oh so happy with this OS, the TI, and my current state of music mind.

Marc, Just wanted to drop a note to thank you guys for opening up OS 3 to the TI range! I just bought a TI Keyboard recently and I would have hated to have had to trade it in already! Big thumbs up here. I like supporting companies that support their users in return

You can use the patch volume as a destination in the mod matrix, this now happens after the effects so you can chop the reverb trails etc on off in a trippy kinda way
