True, and last night I had my first experience of being at a dinner and not having to get up and go out onto the street every 15 minutes!
It's a ridiculous thing to do on so many levels, I don't even remember when or why I started. I was 16, i'm 29 now and have been assured by my doc that I can undo all the damage if I stick with it....
Which I will.....
For my Moog......

The thing I miss most during nicotine withdrawal is the sensation of smoke entering my lungs. I would imagine smoking doobie would go some way to helping relieve it. You might find that you smoke rather compulsively in this situation, and while 2 weeks of heavy weed smoking isn't likely to kill you, you might accidentally smoke too much and whitey, so be careful there..
You might also like to investigate electric cigarettes. They are quite expensive but you only need one, and then you buy the refills which are quite a bit cheaper. It's basically a tiny vaporiser that delivers a small hit of nicotine - and nothing else. So inhaling it presumably would give that same feeling of fulfillment, just without the negative effects on your health.
It also gives your hand something to hold, which is good because your hand misses the solid stick too.
Good luck :>

Dear God, don't tell me we're gonna start an Analog VS Digital cigarette debate!!!!
Lovely idea and thanks for the support all, but i reckon this turkeys going cold and that's that. Good luck to any on the same journey, be strong, it's gonna be worth it when we get to teach our grandkids the new Virus TI 7, complete with 3D holographic interface and quantum probability arpeggiators.....
Huh, just realised this topic's two days old, getting there......

This New YEar's I gave up cigareetes and pot, in order to make better music and connect more deeply with a hottie I started dating. The 2 are 100% connected and I've tried to quit either one for 10 years with no luck. It's finally working.
The results::
1) So far no music has been made. I need to relearn how to work on music unfortunately. This shows me that I HAD to quit. I am starting to see the light at the end of the rainbow on the creative front. It's a whole new world.
2) This girl is inspiring and she makes my musical imagination come alive.
3) My bandmates are sad because I am studio obsessive and I am ebbing for a bit as I clear out my head. Even as a prolific DJ, I am feeling a bit of ebb. I usually get home from work and pour through new music for hours, smoking a spliff or 2, then work on music for a few hours before bed.
It's a nice, more balanced world.

Still smoke free! And I added to my Moog arsenal with a Moogerfooger MF-103 12-Stage Phaser and also an Electro Harmonix Frequency Analyzer (which is perversely a ring-modulator)! Getting all analog-modular on your asses! And I want that mixing desk too, don't they come in a scaled-down version? More....more hahahaaaaa!!!!
I'm gonna putup one of those youtubes of people fucking around with wierd effects and synths next week, I'll let everyone know so you can tell me how much it blows!!
