So I thought I'd post my experience with the 2.7.5 update. I've been using 2.5.1 as I find it undoubtably the most stable version for my system and wasnt having much luck with the beta's and pre 2.7.5 versions plus I'm waiting for the side chain audio input over USB feature to arrive.

Any way, everything went smoothly until the window popped up stating windows is about to install unsigned drivers where it gives the option to continue anyway or cancel. Before I got the chance to select an option the computer blue screened and restarted. I then ran the setup again, clicked repair and everything went smoothly. Everything seems to be in order now, I will have to play with it a bit more to see if any thing comes up.

Well I took my TI back to Guitar Center and they sent me a Brand New one. It got delivered on 12/23/08 and I hooked it up, went through the update process without a hitch and everything seems to be going smoothly. I must have had a bad one or something. I'm stoked now. I got it going in Cubase and now I'm going through the process of learning Cubase.

I bought my TI Polar on eBay (got a sweet deal compared to retail), and applied the 2.7.5 patch as soon as it arrived. Went through without a hitch. I performed the update from a new MacBook Pro laptop.

I wish I could offer some suggestions for what might make the patch process go smoother, but it's really all up to the custom software that Access writes for these machines. That being said, I can't think of a good reason why a software patch would cause an irretrievable hardware failure like the crash that the first poster mentioned. I would guess that the hardware was dodgy to begin with and that the software patch just exposed that problem.

I dont have one Virus TI,the last OS for my Virus is from 2004 but im a IT Technician and I recommend shut down firewalls, antivirus, antispyware or any kind of "police" software for avoid any interaction with ports and data transfer between the computer and the keyboard.
Keep it on mind.
