Nice comeback, Juho.
Hi Timo. It's all go on here. But we are musicians and we do need to swear every now and then.

You say potatoes and I say potatoes
You say tomatoes and I say tomatoes
Many years ago my band used to play that to great laffs when Frank our singer would pronounce potatoes and potatoes exactly the same. Ditto tomatoes / tomatoes.
Oh. Let's call the whole thing off!
Then he'd get another laugh at the end by asking "Who the fuck says pe-TAAH-toes anyway?"

I've lived in a lot of different states in the U.S., and I can assure you that the English language is butchered differently from region to region.
My father is from Georgia, a southern state known for a very distinct rural twangy dialect.
My mother is from Rheinzabern, Germany and her English is influenced by her native tongue.
So, in a pinch I can mimic locals just about anywhere. My wife's family is from New Jersey, pronounced "Joisey." They tell my wife that she has a southern accent, which I don't hear at all. We accuse them of having a Yankee accent, and they deny it.
I honestly try to enunciate syllables correctly when I speak as I give presentations regularly as part of my work and I don't want to sound any more like a fool than necessary. And through all that effort, I must admit although I don't have a formal accent of any American variety, I am afflicted with a jarbled blend of every dialect I've ever been exposed to!
Arrrrrrrrrrgggghhhh!!!
Juho, you're English is probably as good or better than mine, damn it!

I have the same "problem" with Finnish. I tend to speak a mix of Savo and Karelian dialects with some Pohjanmaa for flavour. Some people have said that I have rather strong Savo dialect, which makes me to sound like a reliable farmer. Hoho.
But when I switch to joking mode I speak official (written) Finnish and it's great for annoying people too!
