I know next to nothing about rugby excpet what the refs do when they kick it through the field goals.

Rugby's pretty simple. You can only pass the ball backward by hand, though you can kick it forwards. Basically, you always have to be behind the ball to be onside and take part in any play. Then you can only tackle the player holding the ball.

Yeah, sorry about that, mate. It's very impolite of us to reach the final when there were clearly vastly superior teams in the competition.

Just found a note from my kids, btw:

They got angry with me last week cos I was shouting at the TV. This week I had to promise not to make so much noise, and was doing quite well until 10 minutes from time.
