The build quality is very good. The pots could probably be a bit better, but the smooth metal of the box itself is very solid with a nice feel.
I personally didnt get on with the sound at all. VERY digital and harsh to the ear, its actually the only reason I sent mine back. The feature set and software front end are pretty cool, but that digital sound just made me want to vomit every time. ten

Yea, I had one of those aswel. Cheap plasticy feel to the unit itself again with cheap knobs/faders. Soundwise its just like a jp8000 with a few more bells and whistles. Software gui was cool and new arp/effects not to bad either. I would of kept it actually if I didnt need the space for my Andromeda. If they do a rack version I will get it again, good synthie for the money.

How about modular synthesis?

The keyboard version does http://www.dsisynth.com/photos/EvoKey_Rear_Angle.JPG but for some odd reason the desktop version doesn´t
 Edit: Oh wait, the desktop version has a button on the front saying "main". It might be a power button. Who knows
