New apartment!

Ärsch, we lost the it! We were really intrested until it went over 1.000.000:- SEK. I think it went for ~1.500.000:-, that would mean that it cost 25.000:- SEK / M2.

We could buy an apartment right in the Stockholm Central for that kind of money! We're looking around for other places

You'd pay about 1½million SKr for a place like that here, easy. I'm 15 minutes outside Central Helsinki on the slow train.

But the bank has agreed to give you a housing loan Sebastian? That's the hard part. Keep looking. You'll find a place. Everybody wants to move in May here. After winter, before summer hols.

Aye, the prices are insane..! But as we could a smaller house for that price, we're unsure what to do.. We'll find something sooner or later

It seems to be universal: the kind of place you want where you want it is always out of reach. That's what makles the market of course. But its a sad reality.

Matsa: I lived in Rinkeby for almost a year! During that time I just missed the bombing of an policestation (I was about ~400 meters away when the bomb went off.. I could both hear the boom aswell as feel it!).

I missed an fight where an 19-year old got shot in the head by about 5 minutes.. Both of these times I was coming home from work.. First I always took the bus (which stopped just outside the policestation) and went they blew it up, I always took the tunnelbana. After that incident, I moved.. Not because I disliked the neighbourhood at all, but because I broke up with my girlfriend.

I were going into town to meet an friend when the station caught on fire.. Luckily we got away safe as the train didn't obey the orders to stay put and acctually drove to the next station instead (otherwise we would been caught in a blaze)

I felt really safe in Rinkeby acctually as I was probably one of the real "swedes" living in Rinkeby (as the other white people tend to be finnish in Rinkeby and usually don't speak Swedish)..

Rinkeby is quite alright! Great stores and great people (most of them). But Skärholmen, Fittja, Skarpnäck, Hässelby Gård, Södertälje, Skogås and so on are places I would not like to live in.

Where I live now, I got an ~5 minute busride to the nearest tunnelbana-station, I live ~1 minute walk from the biggest busstation south of Stockholm City and ~3 minute walk from the trainstation (which has trains going _everywhere_; Märsta/Södertälje. Bålsta/Haninge.)
All the buses going south in Stockholm passes by here all time of the night, which means if you're out clubbing or whatever you always get home.. But I don't feel quite safe here anymore, which is rather odd as police has done an marvelous job getting rid of unwanted people here.

psy: Yeah, it's odd isn't it..

EDIT: Matsa, how did you know about Rinkeby? Is it that famous? I think that Rosengård or Hammarkullen outta be more famous than Rinkeby (but however.. the problems started in Rinkeby, that I cannot disagree on..)

Hi Sebs. I saw a documentary about Swedish hip hop on Swedish channel here a while ago which featured Rinkeby. Was it something like just 20% of people there are in any way Swedish?

I belive it's even a lower % swedish people living in Rinkeby. Last I heard it was like around ~13% or something like that.

Not many Swedes at all!
