Im baffled as to how and why people would want to use 8 parts coming from the same synth. Id say 2 or 3 parts at the most....and then use other synths for added contrast/interest...
Having said that, you've raised a valid point I suppose. Strickly speaking I guess a truly mutlitimbral synth is one that allows you to effect all 16 parts and still have enough polyphony to run it. Do any synths support such a DSP killer situation? I doubt it.... DS
