I would say buy another synth then...I cannot see myself using just the virus for my songs...although the virus is good, its not the only and it can be overused if u have it running all 16 parts in each song...you will be known as that virus guy!!
the modular idea is good...im not much on wavetable myself...hell if we r going all out why not an FM subtractive synth with analogue filters  I didnt figure this topic would just go freaking crazy like this !!! peace Blank
