That might be a good idea if you don't feel that you need a hardware UI. Clicking on the screen with your mouse isn't as nice as programming on the interface.
And Virus' polyphony never drop on 8. There's a note on Access' site: "when all oscillators are in use, polyphony may decrease, but not by more than 6 voices". So on C model the polyphony will drop to 26. I think the polyphony isn't the issue with the Powercore DSP. It depends more on the UI and your working habits. If you like point and click programming and make all/most of effecting on computer, then Powercore is for you. Otherwise don't bother.
