Default Powering on problem

Hi,

Virus TI Polar here, had it about 10 years now. Been having powering on problems for a year or two now.

Basically when I come to power it on, the on/off buttons have a little light pulsing away - fine - then when I press them down the thing just dies. So I have to turn the power on and off at the plug to get it to come back on. Sometime is have to do this many times.

Ive changed the battery inside, and ive changed the power supply too. Still the same.

Any ideas what's going on here?

Thanks for any help and advice.

Hi any resolution to this? I'm guessing I'm facing something g similar, and was thinking of taking it apart to replace the CR2032 and internal power supply. That's all I can do...

I'm having something similar with my TiKB - when I unplug from the mains and plug it back takes forever for the red led on the transpose buttons to come up. I will get to the bottom of that but don't have time right now, but my steps will be:
1. Check if the power supply produces 12V,
2. if yes - go to 4
3. replace with new
4. replace all capacitors in the power section on the mainboard - I had something similar with my Indigo.

Virus B / Indigo has had issues with failing electrolytic capacitors and I'm assuming something similar happens to newer models (like my Ti).

I'll revisit this post when my "fix" will do the trick.

Cheers
