Waiting for something you've probably already been waiting for a lot sucks big time. May I suggest giving a read to the manuals already so that you know what to do when it comes home?

Yeah, I have been reading the manuals for some time. I actually ordered a Virus TI around 2005 from Sweetwater. After waiting quite some time for my order to ship, they called and said that there was a problem and wouldn't have access products in stock for the forseable future. I was disappointed, but I changed my order to a Nord G2X. It has been a great keyboard, but I never forgot about the Virus. So, as long as the weather cooperates, I will finally have one.

You guys in the US have had a fair a bit of weather recently! I know NY/NJ has had it bad, but Texas has snow too? I didn't realise it would be affected given that it's so far down south and central.

Yep, we got some really cold weather here in El Paso. It's very unusual and no one was prepared for the snow, ice, and single-digit temperatures. I believe the Dallas area was harder. That is where my Virus is now. Hopefully it will be moving soon.

My Virus Dark Star finally arrived! I have only had about 45 minutes to play with it and won't be able to turn it on again until next week. But, I must say, this is one fine instrument. I have many keyboards and questioned whether I needed another or not. Even after listening to countless demos and videos, I still wasn't sure if it would offer something unique in my setup. After my short time with it, I am happy to find that it does have the special color that I was looking for. Also, it is built like a tank and the keyboard has a fantastic feel! I don't think I'll ever want to let this one go.

Meant to say mine arrived last week too - not had chance to do much on the sound tweaking but downloaded a ton of patches from the main Access site and some of the sounds you can get are stunning. I always did love my Virus KC but having it internally as a plug-in is so much less hassle than buggering about with audio all the time.

Some folks were talking about weather only shortly ago.

10 days later and it went from freezing (32F) to 78F!

Like fucking summer here today on the east coast of US. We got nuked I guess and the news forgot to report. Nice.

Putting it in context a little? Aircondition your Virus I guess.
