Default A slightly different synchronisation problem

Hi - I remember I managed to resolve this when using SX 1 but can't find it in SX 2.
SX is sending midi clock to my Virus and it's receiving it OK, but I want my LFO cycles to start when I hit play, rather than try to hit play when I think the cycle is about to start

There was some option I recall which resulted in the midi clock being reset when the play button is pressed.

Any ideas? - Cheers

I'm guessing you are talking about how the LFO cycles with incomming midi.

I think everything you need to read about this is on page 73 of the VC manual (the LFO edit menu).

Hope this helps you!

actually what you need is an external lfo trigger! you'll find that in the Tips and Tricks part of the C manual (page 155)

basically, you need to send a Controller #70 for LFO1 and a Controller #82 for LFO2 and LFO3 with the appropriate values (0=poly mode, 1=mono mode). Both modes reset the LFO cycle and retrigger it!

Sorry about that!

After re-reading your post I realized you want the LFO to trigger when you press play on your sequencer. For some reason I was thinking you want it to trigger when you play a note (reading from pg 73 tells you about this anyways).

Thanks Hatembr!

no prob!

i quickly understood what he was meaning because i asked the same question when i first bought the virus, i posted questions here and there but didn't get any answer, actually i didn't even know the expression "external trigger" at that time so i looked into the manual again, line by line until i found that tip on page 155
