does anyone know any software filters for mac+logic that only affect certain bandwidths like a notch filter that you could specify which frequency's where going to be filtered and it had cut-off points?

haha yup i guess it could sound like that i dont no i was thinking more like some thing that is really gunna twist a sound up but only a selected portion. I have been doing this by splitting sounds and only effecting one half say leaving th bottom end end and working the tops but if i could find something that had cut off points i think it would be alot easie.

also any good phasers apart from the logic one? is there anything more you can do with a phaser that the logic one cannot do?

Parallel FX for a VST instrument(intermediate)

Here are four tutorials covering differences of using fx channels vs groups and easy ways of creating a larger, synth sound with movement in Cubase SX 3. Click names of tutorials for links:

They are designed to be watched in the following order:

1. Parallel distortion for a VSTinstrument using pre fader sends to FX channel
2. Parallel distortion with groups rather than FX channels
3. Setting up for multi band effects processing
4. Multiband effects processing drum and bass bass example

On ableton simply drag a audio rack multiband over the relevant channel and then add effects to each of the audio bands in the effects rack.

In logic you can send the signal through one bus with a multiband plug in on it, then copy that bus' channel strip make another bus and use the link function to make the channels mimic each other behaviours. Meaning when you move the cut off point for one of the multiband effects it will move the setting on the multibands on all the other linked channels.

Hi thanks i allready know abit about processing different parts and re-sample ect i just wanted to know if there was a plugin that had features to do it for you to shorten the process down abit thanks alot for the help tho (also i didnt think about sending them to buss strips iv just been copying the channel and eq'ing )...
