Hey Doc,

Maybe interested. Why are you selling it? I was looking at a Novation Remote 37SL recently. This is a nice controller too.

The potmeters on my microKontroll is terrible (value jumps), hopes the knobs on the 49Kontrol is better.

hey Alex and Guzzy,
I'm selling it off because I am basically trying to slim down even further (and become even more portable). So I recently picked up a 25 key midi controller to replace the Korg 49.

Hi Guzzy, when you move the pot knobs on the microKontrol, does it give you sort of a very subtle "click" for each "micro turn" ?
The 49 does this. Plus I usually set the "sensitivity" of the mapping (to the vst knob I want to control) to fine tune.

I've always been intrested in an kontrol49, however shipment from the US would be an killer!

So I'd like to know whatcha think about the machine in general? I love to get myself a pair (hoho) of pads (if you know what I mean *wink wink*.. I maybe outta post some pics..)

So how's the pads? good action? How's the keys? Plastic shait or a good quality feel to 'em? I looked at the CME-boards but those feel plastic as hell..

How's them knobs *wink wink*.. Are they stiff and firm or do they aquire any "viagra"?

hey 303, its a good controller.
the pads are fun and you can hammer away at them (good for assigning to drum pads like the old 808 drum machines). Can also use them for basically anything that uses a midi trigger (like launching clips and scenes in ableton).

the keys - well it's relative. I've been using a weighted key controller for years (for piano playing) so the keys seem very light and flimsy to me. but they are far from brittle - just very easy to push in comparison to my weighted keyboard.

I kind of like the knobs as they have a tiny little click for each tiny turn you do, so you can get consistent with your tunings.

Cool, thanks for the info mate!

These things are bloody expensive in Sweden - around 5.000-6.000:- SEK = ~$500 and I've haven't seen one yet to try out thats why I gotta ask them questions as I am thinking of picking one up from Germany

Slim Down??? Have you considered buying a MiKo by open labs? They are very powerful units. And very portable. www.openlabs.com. A whole studio, with a touchscreen, in one small box. I have a neKo and I love it.
