Hello everyone,

I would like to reproduce the bawwish sound of the synth used to play the theme song "Escape from New York" by John Carpenter.
Can someone help? =)

IIRC that synth line is a Prophet 5, But there is Arp Quadra in there too for the cleaner sounds.
Of course it depends which version you mean as the theme runs all the way through the movie.
Carpenter pretty much defined late 70's and early 80's Horror and Sci-fi sound tracks with his Prophet 5 sounds and minimalist style, he also used Arp synths a lot.
The Prophet 5's unstable dirty sound is quite hard to emulate, that's why there is a Prophet 8!
