Default Virus TI 2.7.3 & Cubase Studio 4.5.2 Probs

Hello Guys,

I'm new here. Just wondering if anyone is having the same probs I am having with Virus TI OS 2.7.3 using as a plugin in Cubase Studio 4 (4.5.2) on a Windows XP machine with 2 gigs of ram & AMD Athlon 64x2 3800+ CPU. Basically the patches go out of time/sync (esp if they are arp patches) really badly. I also noticed if they are in sync & you touch any knob on the Virus this also makes them go out of sync. After the install it went thru the whole syncing memory with virus process. Is anybody else having this prob? Is there anything I can try to fix this? I remember this happening in TI O.S. 2.5.1 but it wasnt as bad then..I have since done a fresh install of windows & all my software since then & TI O.S. 2.7.3 is the first one I have put on my PC since the clean install. If anyone can help I would be very grateful.

J.

Same here: TI Snow going extremely out of tune sometimes (like a 2 semitone pitchbend) all of a sudden when tweaking the knobs on the Snow.
Not often, though, but it does happen from time to time.

And very often it goes out of sync and I have to rewind and restart the sequence to get in sync again.

I used to be on Cubase Studio 4.1.x and I never noticed it there.
It's hard to tell whether the problem is with the TI or with Cubase?

Which USB ports on your computer do you have the Virus connected to? Front/back? PCI card? Directly to the computer's motherboard? USB hub? Optimal performance will come from the Virus connected directly to the motherboard (other ports risk being on a hub). You can also try another USB cable.

i'm kinda having this problem with my TI.

Tried top usb port, and port on the back (via a extension cable).

It's showing up midi information, and the dials on the VC software are moving, but i'm not getting any sound.

i've tried the latest beta, and the 2 last installer releases.

I'm also running a M-Audio NRV10 FW mixer/interface.
