Ya I wish I really wish I had the patience to sit and learn a new software but I learned logic pro like so deep that its pointless for me to start all over again on cubase or something.

Wow this thing is fast. I just went into the BIOS and knocked the CPU from 266MHz up to 300MHz and the result is the total processing power has gone from 2.4GHz per core up to 2.7GHz, thats 5.4GHz in total!

And that is without doing anything such as altering the multiplier or amending the voltages...

I ran the fivetowers Cubase test and was getting 12% idle and 21% playing!
My last comp was doing over 80% playing!

Just got to get the system fully loaded and see how tight the TI is as a result...

nice!!! From what I have been hearing, you should easily hit 3 ghz with stock cooling (while keeping your system stable) Probably much more. Look forward to hearing how far you can push your system.

TBH the last thing I wanna do is screw my system - I am happy with just 2.7GHz - 1 guy has managed to OC his 2.4 E6600 to 100%! Thats 4.8GHz per Core - 9.6GHz in total!!!

That is just nuts, But I have never OC'ed before and don't have any experience so I am going to stick at my healthy 2.7GHz per core - the last thing I want is it to die in the middle of a mix...

But at 2.7 I ran Prime95 on the full hard torture test for 30 hours and it never failed and showed no signs of breaking sweat.

Very good point Have you had a chance to test out your ti with the new system?

Not yet - but I can tell you now FX Teleport is not looking very good! The latency is low but there are drop outs. I need to get myself some v. high quality Cat6 cable before I can really test in earnest.

Edit - Scratch that FX Teleport is working well now - bit of a schoolboy error really - I was running it over wireless

Have installed the TI drivers but don't really have any time to test - me and the missus are of to Dartmouth camping for the next week.

Ultralite is here,
you wont belive the hell i went thru with the local delivery company.
They have the package to the wrong guy without even asking him for ID.
its the last time i order something not thru UPS or Fedex (i order it from novamusik using USPS ,which i didnt even ask for. if i could go back i would cancel the order. and use some other online store)

the Pad and phantom power switchs feel a little cheap and the unit is unbelivebly Lite! no wonder they call it ultralite

installating it now, more updates to come

Drammy: Nice stuff!
Looking forward to get some more detailed feedback since I'm debating either getting a Dual Core or waiting a few months and get Quad Core.
I'm sick of not being able to run my projects in real-time, it kills me
