Default [Unsolved] Big Problems with TI Desktop after Unplugging/Plugging In

Hi everybody,
I'm going to contact Access Support with the same question/problem but I thought I'd post here too to see if there's something that I'm missing. I probably should have addressed this a while ago but I've got one of the older TI desktops (really one of the first few models that hit the states back in December of '05 I think) and I didn't notice the problem until the warranty had expired...

Anyway every single time I unplug the power from my TI desktop, I have one hell of a hard time getting it to start up again after plugging it back in. I try holding Arp Edit and it responds with two flashing lights (BPM and the light over Sub Osc intermittently) with a blank screen for a while; when I finally let them go the screen stays blank and BPM stays lit. Nothing. The alternate method of plugging in while holding Exit gives a different response - BPM flashes but when I let go...nothing happens.

I usually futz around with this for about a half hour before the unit finally responds and goes into BIOS Update Mode... Launching the TI Control Center gets it to boot up normally through USB. This problem has been tolerable up until now for obvious reasons. I want to get out and gig with this unit now but this happens every single time I unplug the unit.

Has anybody experienced something similar, and is it something that can be resolved without shipping the synth out for repair?
