Let's start the ranting; I do feel that Onkel leg is one heck of sexy leg.. Mmm, Now where is that frozen Jasedee-poo
This would have been better 303..

I'm rubber you are glue, I can smell Jase's frozen poo!

Did you guys know that the Virus C's cutoof knob is soooo much smoother to use for saw trance leads than the TI 303? Many people don't believe until they try you know.

Pff.. The original TB303 cutoff knob is the best. Sure, it's small but everyone loves it

Yeah, but I meant the "TI" and then I said your name "303".

I was saying that anyone who has had both a Virus C and a TI knows that the Virus C's cutoff knob is THE best for trance tracks. It just gives you those smooth transitions you need to control an appegiator running an overused saw-lead sound. Many people think they're the same, but I would say they're wrong! This is the reason that the Virus C wil become a classic, but the TI will become an outdated computer add-on.

I couldn't possibly agree more. In the U.S. there are laws against false advertising. They should state what the synth CURRENTLY can perform RELIABLY. Other companies do this, if for no other reason than to protect themselves. Anything less is inexcusable no matter how sympathetic some choose to be!

Yeah, like those laws works... take good old Microsoft for example; talk about false advertising. Windows 3.0, 3.1, 95, 98, XP "Best running Windows ever!", yes certainly, but how long did it take to get there? How many times have you seen people bitch and moan about Windows? And what was the ratio of "false accusations" vs convictions of the same? Well, no convictions there; zero, zippo, zilch. AND, Microsoft is the company that reaches the most people in the WORLD; STILL!

Go try and convince someone else, because those laws aren't used!

True that! Worth the wait for 1.1, because the sounds are incredible. However I'm impatient now for it...

Yes but you are speaking about subjective conditions which are a lot harder to substantiate. Here this is a case of completely missing features and functionality. Access can sell the TI based on the sound and provided features, not by misleading the buyer by stating features that do not exist i.e.

"Additionally, a new ??Remote Mode?? allows the VIRUS hardware to become a control surface for any MIDI-capable device or software, mapping each of the 33 knobs to a specific MIDI message. TI ships with a great selection of templates and includes 32-user memories for custom controller maps. It?s a powerful addition that greatly increases the value of the synth?s studio footprint."

This is blatant false advertising in any book and is indeed very pursuable. Whether or not one (or a group) would do so is another matter.

When I attempted to return my unit the vendor (whom I won't name) was going to impose a 20% restocking fee until I mentioned that the unit was not sold as advertised. It would seem that this vendor is grown frustrated with the number of returns and B-stock that he has on the TI. And rightfully so! On the day I was to ship it back I read of the 1.1 update and thought, Hey it's a great sounding synth a couple more weeks won't hurt for the update. So I kept it. It's been 2 months and everyday I say "A couple more weeks won't hurt for the update"

I did not purchase this as a Virus D to be used in standalone mode (my C does that). I bought it for all the features spec'd on access' website. So I am waiting as patiently as possible and enjoying these discussions while I do (I'm having a musical equivalent of writers block anyways!

Like feeling an obsessive tendancy towards older (much older) sexual partners?

Or...

Thinking that one's own urine is the tastiest, most refreshing drink of all?

1.1 will be an amazing OS indeed!!!
