Sigh...

I'm not saying people don't have the right to voice their opinions, or even their frustrations. Like I said, I've been the recipient of gear that was shipped buggy (Absynth 3.0) and I know first hand how very frustrating it can be. Especially when the purchase is expensive like the TI's are.

What I really dislike though, is the WAY people are voicing these comments. Just because this is the internet and people are not face to face, IMO, does not give them the right to act like little kids throwing temper tantrums. If you are concerned for future buyers and want to let them know that the TI is still not working FOR YOU (because it does work for quite a few people), that's fine. But I think that it can be done in a way which reflects some manner of professionalism, or at least courtesy to other people who frequent this board.

Case in point, my post inthe troubleshooting section to try and help people solve some of their TI issues. Instead of merely ignoring the thread if they disagreed, people felt the need to taking their bashing there too, even though I asked politely for them not to. I'm just tryng to help, when it would be far easier for me to walk away and say forget it, these people are the most ungrateful I've ever met (similar to what I did on the VirusTI forums after being fed up with the rudeness of the haters there).

I firmly believe that people should conduct themselves on forums as if they were face to face with other people. You never know who's reading what you write, or if it will come back to haunt you later on. Probably not I admit, but there have been times I've been surprised at the doors that have opened for me based on being that person who tries and helps people in a calm manner. From record deals, to DJ gigs, to jobs scoring music for TV ads, many times it has been me over someone else solely because I didn't partake in flame wars, and offered to help instead of mindless bash and throw fits like a 5 year old.

Voicing our displeasure is something we all feel the need to do when things frustrate us, when we feel cheated, or generally when we are having a bad day. But there's a right way, and a wrong way to do it IMO. People truly need to grow up and act their age.

Minimum problems here,Mate.....
I thought you said your's was having a few crashes here and there, not to mention the occasional screech and scream. Maybe you are very lucky indeed then.
Mine has never crashed once..It only Blue screened once and that was with 1.08.
Never a DSP crash.
I'm running 1.07 and i only get Apr timing problems now and then....Thats it...Thank god...I understand everyone with big problems getting pissed off,but Access are doing there best for us...
Why don't some of you go back to 1.07 for the time being as it seems to be the most stable...

I so...... agree. I think, however, the fact that people don't use their real names congributes to this. I frequent a recording forum that will not let you post unless you use your real name. It's much more civil over there.

Alrighty then, you've upset Harold the funloving chimpanzee.. If i hear another; [quote="someone"]Hey Access is a good company..[/qoute] OMFGEH! HE'S LAJK SO MUCH WORKING WIT FBI-CIA-ACCESS. CANT YOU READ LAJK SO CI-A-CCESS! WE FOUND SECRET OF MENY! NOW LETS FEAST UPON ONKEL'S SEXY LEG!!1!1!1!!

I don't wanna censur any words but soon ye old board will be full of censorship and everything you can say is; Ben, TI, A, B, C, kB, kC and Hollowcell!

If you got problems with the TI and we can't help you with an quick answer try Access-support, if they can't help you. I betcha they are working on trying to solve that problem. And if you're still not satisfied with the TI - Why didn't you wait a few months before you got the synth? Every new electronic-gadget either it's a new VA-synth or a new gamingconsol has different bugs/problems that are solved later on, and if not there will be a new revision and hopefully (and I do belive) that Access would do everything they can to make it up to you as an customer.

Alright Access! I hope i didn't say to much about the CIA-deal and your evil plans to rule the earth with trance-music created only on Virus-synthesizers. Ive completed mypart of the deal.. Now where is my Virus TI? Hoho

An old adage holds true:

The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I'm not mean-spirited about the whole thing, my TI works (just not as a VSTi...) but without a vocal group of constituents would the company even know they have a problem?

I appreciate the attention of Access Music techs coming here and telling us they are working on it. The same is apparently going on with Kontakt 2 from Native Instruments, and an update for that is badly overdue as well.

But the example they're setting is atrocious if you give it some thought:

They are essentially saying it's ok to release a product that only does some of what it's advertised to do.

With this logic in mind, you might as well:

Sell a car without brakes
Make an iPod that only plays one song

etc, etc, etc

Now, you might be happy to drive around until you run out of gas or you might really like that one song, but I'd be shocked if those products weren't fixed with all due haste once the company realised they made a mistake.

Instead, what we've gotten so far is Access promoting the halfway-functional TI while telling people that have bought it "We're really working hard on it, why don't you have a cup of coffee and relax." They know there are bugs. Yet there hasn't been an update in two months. It's ponderous to me that you would ask people to shut up when they are obviously going to be frustrated.

They are in good company - its seems the Alesis Fusion isnt exactly having a rosey time...

Look on the bright side - at least the TI was launched with a complete and really good sound set

Always look on the bright side of life *du nu du nu nu nu*.. Ah, I do understand that people are frustrated with the fact that they spent loads of cash on a machine that isn't working properly for some of it's users and I know that i would be really upset if it would had happened to me.. But I am sure that Access is working on it and I belive that Access will have a fix for those that still suffer from odd problems

I'll tell you who the fucken Minority are; They are the people who are not having many issues with the TI and who have company loyalty in the absense of reason.

Hey this is fun joining in rather than sitting back watching. I'm starting to run out of ideas though....I might have to resort to the "I know you are what am I" comments soon.

Great thread!

HC: My Virus TI is stronger than yours! I could get 81 voices from it! And I am rubber, you are glue.

Let's start the ranting; I do feel that Onkel leg is one heck of sexy leg.. Mmm, Now where is that frozen Jasedee-poo
