Default ACCESS - complaints

Virus TI
happens to burn amplifiers and speakers and the support tries to disencourage device replacement
is compatible with just a few hosts - only the latest versions are supported
hangs up
arps lose rhythm
occasionally generates very loud screech - so better use limiters

Access
misinform about host compatibility
encourage host updating which does not change anything
keep selling unfinished product

Total i agree with you...
however i feel in this age you have to be totally skeptical of advertising claims. They use fancy wording that has to be reviewed by lawyers.
It is your duty as a consumer to make sure the product is legitimate.
It's a sad state...but a true one.

So maybe you have learned a valuable lesson.
I'm also pondering what to do with my desktop TI.

very true.....
but what if they cant?
i hope they will but you never know.

like the hubble maybe it is destined to always be flawed.
in this type of scenario i imagine some 3rd party developer
writing a new synth engine to run on the ti hardware 8O
maybe something like scope or kyma

time will tell...but i bet it is difficult right now to get rid of a TI second hand.

absolutely, I was looking for used TIs on ebay, unfortunately I overslept the auction because it was sold for 1200 Euros instead of 1700, and was almost never used... if you compare this to virus c being sold for about 900-1000 Euros... fu*k

We're lucky to have Waldorf back when Access is going under.

Of course I wish the best of luck for all German synth companies because they build the best synths in the world. Shame that the TI thing just doesn't work. I have already seen 2 second hand TI's for sale here in Finland.
