Contact Access... They tell what is the best thing to do. It wouldn't have experimented on my own, maybe you just make it worse. But I'm sure they can help you, especially when you've just purchased it. Good Luck!

id try installing the OS again at a slower BPM or something first, making sure there isnt any midi clock sent of course....if the keyboard died after installing the OS - it really sounds like a software problem...

i know you can connect 2 viruses to tranfer pacthes, but tranfering the OS...dont know about that one...

but if re-installing the OS doesnt fix it - then as picato said "contact access".

I don't think the problem is in that. Virus will stop receiving the OS if there's missing blocks or MIDI clock running.

My kB did exactly like that in Groover's situation and it had a broken keyboard controller. First that bloody machine thought it was an ordinary B, then it was a rack and for a while it tried how it feels to be Indigo. Then it found itself from a box on a trip to Germany.

That electroic circuit was probably broken all the time, even before it got into your virus. They sure do a basic testing of all new viruses before shipping, but I hardly believe they test things like upgrading the OS...

most of the time it'S the cable in between the keyboard controller and the motherboard becoming loose. if the keyboard controller is not connected, the virus OS thinks that it's dealing with a virus desktop version.

the cables are good quality but sometimes UPS etc. can be less gentle than one thinks they would ...
