Default windows: how to change default location of virus ti mid patch file location

does somebody knows how one changes the default location of virus patch files (.midi) from ....

C:\Documents and Settings\user123\My Documents\Access Music

... to a custom location.

i just hate having these patches buried somewhere in my windows profile folder.

hmm i am not sure, that you can do that.

but an idea might be to create NTFS symlink (Junction Point) to another folder, that should be transparent from the Virus side-of-view.

you can use this gui to create them:

http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinks...kshellext.html

or if you have windows vista, it can be done there too.

i have not tested it myself tho, its just an idea.

good luck

I don't think you can do this, and it's not really needed anyway.
I just read through the entire VC manual and it isn't in there.

You can find the folder in seconds on PC or Mac as it's in your user folder, not buried as you said. (it's 2 clicks away on PC.)
It's not like you need to use those files often anyway, VC and VCC do all that.
I have thousands of patches in my Access folder and it still only weighs 14 megs. easy to backup.
