Is Access not participating? I was hoping for a new model of Virus (Classic doesn't count). How disappointing....

Ah, not to worry, take it as a good sign. - It means the next offering will be even more highly-evolved. Can't wait!

Now that would be worth looking at!

That Classic shouldn't count as a new product IMO.

Yep I agree with Tommer & HC. Access is probably one of the most successsful synth companies in the world today.....

Therefore, I think its about time ACCESS manufactured a true analog monosynth. I want it to sound dark, dirty, very fat, warm and I dont want 'polite' sounding filters or weak sounding oscilators. Ideally it should have 3-4 oscilators and great modulation possibilities (i.e. sequential pro-pro). Simple patch memory storage would be a bonus. I reckon it would be possible to mass produce analogue monosynths for less than 750 euro's.

I also beleive that accesse's flagship synth should be a true analog poly.....and that the Virus should remain for those of us who cant afford a true analog. The 'Virus' brand is such a strong one....I dont think it would be sensible for Access to get rid of it as a brand name. I think we will see many more incarnations of the 'Virus'

One of the wonderful things about the Pro-One is that when u play it....your having such a great time....that the thought of its utter shite build quality rarely comes into the head!

Yes.

About that DS's flagsip idea: Would a completely analog flagship be a good idea? Because Access should have to redesign the filters and most of the internal structure, getting that synth on market would cost a lot and that means high market price. And then we get a point how many people really want (not to menation can afford) that synth? I say it would be quite a risk with big chance in ending up with a completely unprofitable semi-analog synth on their hands.

Have you noticed that all the bigger companies have gone bankrupt after they have released semi-analog flagship synth? Coincidence or what?

I am with Juho on this one, but however it would be nice if they could release a Poly-analouge synth that cost 1000 Euro

Perhaps a fully modular virus would be a good next step.

They have a good base to start. Just build up from the modules in the C, add a few extra`a and i think it would sell.

I think it is highly unlikely that Access will develop a true analog synth - they have no experience in this field after all. The main man at Access is Christoph, and he is a DSP genius - not an electronics engineer (AFAIK!) - the parent company is called Kemper *Digital*

IMO it would be ridiculously risky to throw all their DSP expertise down the drain to venture into the notoriously unprofitable analog market.
