Creating Choir Sounds

Just wondering if any tutorials out there dealing with this? Im totally new to this. But basically wanted something that sounds realistic.

There are many nice choir sounds in the presets. Maybe studying them will help you.

I have a nice Choir sound in my soundset took me only a few minutes to make...kind of luck i would say!! But my set is not out yet, Ill add a few more cause it looks like some ppl really like those sounds...

Is it possible to add couple of filters in the cubase sx, to there are more filters than only two virus filters?

im not sure what u mean but...from what i know if the virus only has 2 u can only use 2 to shape the sound...if u were using a plugin to shape the sound u would only be shapin the 2 filters of the virus after the fact...

You would need three filters in a row. I think this is the implication. That's generally what your throat does. You basic low back vowel [ah] should be easy.

Another thing to do is use the digital wave forms. Complex wave forms are the other key. Use a basic sine wave and put some lfo on the pitch. You could cut down the need for another filter if you get it right.

You could also use the multi mode to chain a few filters.

The best way to create a choirlike sound is to use BP filters in paraller, not in serial mode. Use high Q and create a small gap between the frequency bands. By altering the gap you can create almost every vowel.

The digital waveforms are best to create choir sounds and add some saturation to spice up the sound and slow attack and decay will also help.

Binary Fianry used a Virus for the choir sound in '1998', so surely it must be possible.
