Default Do I need a mixer or something?

I've got a Virus C and I'm after a drum machine though, how would I add this to my current setup, bearing in mind the Virus uses the only connection on the PC Soundcard (audio in). Can anybody recommend a mixer or a splitter to send the drum machine and Virus through the PC input connection? Is this what I need anyway?

You could feed the outputs of the drum machine through the Virus, although you are better off looking at a proper mixer. Just about anything will do nowadays, even Behringer.

Cheers, may go for another soundcard to be honest. I'm using a Soundblaster Audigy which is more geared towards gaming.

False. Your sound is only good as your equipment overall and your skills in mixing & mastering.

I use a mixer and a pro card.
I would go with a mixer and a good card.
(behringer UB802 and audiophile 2496 is what I use)

I've had a quick look at the Behringer UB802 and it seems exactly what I'm after. The soundcard I've got is a Soundblaster Audigy Platinum. Do you think this is any good?

No. Latency hell and noisy. Get a good sound card.

SoundBlasters are only good for gaming & movies.

You definitely want to get a better sound card. However, since money is a limiting factor in many cases (including mine), you can maximize your Audigy usage by getting the kX driver. Check here:

http://www.tweakers.net/meuktracker/4534

It's got a bit of a silly, self-important user interface, but it's made my Audigy usable. ASIO support and all that.

That said, getcherself a real interface. And check it out first if you're planning to get an M-Audio. They can't write drivers for sh?t.

Also, think twice before buying a Behringer. The boards themselves are decent (designs lifted from Mackie), but in my experience, the power supplies are often quite shoddy, and are generally the first component to fail in any Behringer board. I'm in the US, so perhaps things are different in the European market. Just letting you know, though.
