Default Roland TB-303 With Midi Connection

I've been watching this Roland TB-303 on Ebay for the last 20 hours it just keeps on going up in price,is it cause of the built in Midi connection. Is it very rare with Midi or are there alot with this option around,DS???? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...fromZR8QQfviZ1

hard to find one with midi. If it has midi it has been modified.

Google "Devilfish"

yeah its modified or midified

this type of convertor is not very expenssive to buy (search up kenton) the devilfish\tb303 midi has an advantage of being more then buying a tb303+convertor box seperatly.
either way, i wouldnt pay more then 500 dollars for a mint TB303.

In my opinion Id pass on this 303. Crazy price for what it actually does....not to sure about the midi implementation.....and the fact you get one crappy photo....makes me wonder if the other half exists

303's work just fine with an external Kenton Pro-Solo.....I dont like internal midi jobs on vintage gear.

If you want a 303, I'd seriously consider the BassLine from AudioRealism. This guy has done a fantastic job of emulating it - there is also the BassLine Pro which is a modular version.

You'd be doing yourself a favour if you check out the samples and demo!

I think the whole charm of the tb303 is its tweakability in live performance scenario...
you lost it completly when using software, but then again if your only after the 303 sound the audiorealism plugin is the next best thing to it in the plugin market.

I'm sorry but I just don't get why people say Audiorealism sounds like the real thing.

At certain frequencies it is very convincing, for sure. i.e. it does squeeel like a pig sometimes.

Its the lower down acid wobble type sounds that are nothing like a real 303.

Its a really nice plug-in. Top marks for effort. Still not a substitute for a 303 IMO

i've tried AudioRealism once, but didn't like it, imho the best 303 emulation is ReBirth, it sound way better than AudioRealism and very similar to the real one.

The sound of the Audiorealism Bassline is VERY VERY CLOSE to the original. Of course, if you compare it with a hardware 303, there ARE differences, that's because no single 303 sounds like any other. The 303 is a studio standard and I wouldn't be surprised if it's more used than the hardware 303 for productions...
