Waddup Merlot!

I bought my KC for $1350 from Musicians Friend as a Scratch and Dent special 6-7 months ago.

Apparently the box was dropped.

The only damage I found was that the case of the demo CD was cracked inside.

The synth has functioned perfectly since I bought it.

I don't know what used ones go for.

The KC was just under 2K new.

Are you looking for a used Virus?

I thought you were getting a TI, V-Synth boy?

L8R Bro!

The TI is losing its edge to me the more time I have to sit here and think aobut it. The total integration concept is defenitely cool. THe polyphony would be nice. I think the Hypersaw will probably become one of the most abused/over-used sounds in electronic music since the supersaw.
The fact that I can get the virus sound for half the price is very appealing to me. I can always save up for a TI later if the wavetables and other new features become a yearning.
BTW, the V had a problem, so had to send it back.

Alex thanks for the info, thats what I was looking for.

The HyperSaw will be used a lot, yes. But will you always recognise it? Probably not.

It is a mistake to think of the HyperSaw as just a Supersaw oscillator. Think of it as a really good saw+square+sync oscillator that also happens to have a 2-9x Unison mode and full mod matrix control over every component.

In actual fact it's a very flexible oscillator, and as for the Wavetables..

Ben,
Thanks for that info. I wasn't trying to compare it to the supersaw. Just trying to compare it to the fact that it will be used proabably as much as, if not more than the supersaw.

I can't help you much with the second hand prices (bought mine new), but I really feel I paid too much for my C new. I really wanted a C at the time and although I love the sound, I just don't think it was worth the cash. I wish I'd bought other gear for sure.

I think it's a smart move not buying the TI straight off.
