I CAN SEE NOW THAT EVERYTIME I TRY TO DUMP ANY SOUND INTO MY CUBASE PROJECT IT ACTUALLY DOESN'T DUMP IT IN THE RIGHT WAY......EVERYTIME THE SOUND IS DUMPED DIFFERENTLY OR EVEN IT IS NOT DUMPED AT ALL (I'VE TRYED THE SINGLE BUFFER DUMP AND THE ARRANGMENT DUMP AND BOTH ARE SCREWING UP MY SOUNDS)

I DONT KNOW IF IT MY PROBLEM, OR IF IT IS THE CUBASE PROBLEM, OR THE VIRUS PROBLEM.......OR EVEN MY M-AUDIO INTERFACE PROBLEM

ANYONE WITH THIS EXPERIENCE??? ANY HELP?????

What tempo are you running the sequence? Try it really slow, to see if that helps.

It is essentially the same OS, it's just that the Classic boots up with 'Virus Classic' in the display

Also, the Virus B had two versions - 'T' and 'S'. There was no difference in functionality, it was just down to a revision of the Motorola DSP, but small differences had to be coded for the OS to work on the revised version.

Classic owners needn't worry about this - there is only one version for them, but for these small reasons, the OS is specific to that model.
Oh, i wasn?t aware of this

I?ve had trouble dumping sysex data from Cubase but i solved it by saving a midi-file with a slow tempo and then i played it back with windows media player with the midi port that the virus is on selected as default playback device. A little anoying way to do it but it works

Synth: I believe 100 is way too fast. Try 40 or 60!

I used to use 100bpm in Cubase VST 5 with no probs. I was using a Delta 10/10 at the time.

The SynthWizard has some advice - Back in the 1980's music was better, TV was better, films were better. Not to mention fashion.... Let me help you relive the past with some classic 80's sounds from my vintage synth collection....

1. Import the file you want to upload to your virus in your sequenser
2. Lower the tempo to about 40 to 60 bmp
3. Export to a MIDI-file
4. Go to "control panel" in windows
5. Doubleclick "sounds and multimedia"
6. Choose "audio"
7. In "MIDI music playback" choose the MIDI port your Virus is connected to
8. Make sure that LoPage and HiPage in the Virus is both set to SysEx
9. Play the MIDI-file you saved
Voila!!!
