If you have an original TI Desktop, you can downgrade to 2.7.5 for the time being.

I'm not I stopped using the virus until access fixes shit. It was ruining my flow having it just crash while I was in the middle of working on a song, totally made me not want to keep working. So I have it shelved until it's fixed.

You have a TI1 so you're lucky and are able to downgrade and at least use 2.7.5 until OS3 is fixed. The TI2 can't downgrade past OS3 so I'm SOL until it's fixed.

There's new distortion and a couple new/changed effects in OS3 but that's about it aside from the UI redesign if I remember right.

Mine is doing this, i think it seems to sound the same from your descriptions.. however i'm lucky in that it doesnt do it that often for some reason. Like it might only do it once every 8 hours at a guess. How i would describe it: i hear a horrible static, crackly noise in my headhpones, then look at the virus and see that all the LED's are off, but the screen is on. Then after a few seconds the sound stops and the virus goes back to normal and is ok. Im using Cubase 5, windows vista 32bit.

I'm 100% positive that the crashing problem is the virus hardware itself and nothing to do with the computer (in my case at least) because if I disconnect the USB cable and do a factory reset it will still crash after a few minutes/hours (depending on it's mood of course).

Okay this is getting ridiculous, just fired up the virus to have a play around and it crashed 3 times within a 10 minute time span before i just unplugged it and decided to find something else to do.
