You can make your own mind up when you hear it.
How about forgetting about the band, jumping on the TI for a few minutes and programming a bass patch. Should take you more than 30 minutes tops, including writing, recording, post-processing, and exporting to .wav or MP3

Im not starting shit BTW, just want to hear some sounds, as you seem to know a fair bit about synths/electronics etc...

Just look at all those brilliant DX7 presets that have plastered 80's pop music......so yes...I fundementally agree with that statement.....

I must admit though....there is a personal satisfaction out of designing your own sounds for your own music....but I think I probably have more time o my hands than most...

The SynthWizard has some advice - Back in the 1980's music was better, TV was better, films were better. Not to mention fashion.... Let me help you relive the past with some classic 80's sounds from my vintage synth collection....

Why would you buy a $2500 synth just to use the presets? Could have saved a fortune by just getting a softsampler like Kontakt for that

Nothing against presets (seeing as how I made 256 so far for the Virus), just seems odd to spend this much money for a preset player

This goes back to my previous point of people being narrow minded and so stuck in their own beliefs that anyone who doesnt do something the way you do it must be WRONG.

What a load of horseshit...

Now, Im not saying I dont program my virus, I love programming it, and my other synths, but just because someone else is content to just use presets, doesnt mean you have the right to jump on them for it. IT'S THEIR FUCKING CHOICE!

So get off your "I never use presets" high-horse. No one cares...

OK, rant over. Feel free to rant back!

By "high horse" you mean a horse on drugs right? You know a lot of race horses are on some sort of protein suppliment I hear, but I don't think that makes them "high" though. At any rate, I prefer motocycles.

Do you want people to use your 256 sounds or would you rather they made their own?
