Does it happen everytime you boot it up with the soft switch?

I have the same problem. It probably happens 1 out of 8-10 times I boot up. Pull the power cord out during the white screen, then plug it back in, and it boots up properly. It's starting to piss me off.

here, here. Every once in while, I have to pull the power cord for boot up.
This was like from beta os to 1.07.

It happens about 9 times out of 10, not just the one off. If I boot it up get the problem nothing happens and it hangs just with the backlight on, if I try to press the transpose buttons again some of the LEDs light up but don't flash and it still hangs, if I hold down the transpose buttons again it makes a different set of LEDs come on but still, nothing happens and it refuses to boot up. It only boots up if I take the power out and connect it back in.

9 times out of 10 is a lot. It happens to me about 1 time in 20 or 30.

Do you think it's something fixable in the OS or a hardware fault?

Just had a response back from Access on this, it's an ongoing issue so hoping for a fix soon. Soundcontrol have been very nice about it, can't fault them.

I sure hope this is a software related issue. Installed OS 1.08 and it's still doing this

This is very bizarre. If I switch it onto standby so the red LED is just flashing it seems to have a "memory" and boots up again when I hold down transpose. The thing is, if I turn it off at the plug it seems to reset something and the next time I try to boot it up it doesn't work.

The question is:

What is different from when you boot it up from standby mode to booting it up from a "cold" start flicking the plug switch?
