Default need some help --> Virus TI patch problem..

eay guys,

I building a track with my virus ti on windows XP. I bumping into a big problem with my ti. I've build a melody for my track with just 2() patches on different midichannels. Now here comes the problem:
when i playback the melody, some of the notes fall away and won't play (if i play both midichannels at the same time). But when i mute one of the patches, the melody sounds like it should be and plays all the notes.

It's seems like the sounds are conflicting with eachother but i'm wondering why since i'm only using 2 patches

I was wondering if anybody has the same problem and maybe found a solution?

some sideinfo:
- windows xp SP2
- Virus OS 2.5
- soundcard: m-audio delta 2496
- processor: core2duo
- Cubase sx3
- using USB to connect virus to computer

looking forward for some replys!
tnx!

Frank

what do you mean by 'utilization graph readout'? if it are the volume graphs of the volume from the patches, they'res no clipping whatsoever:S

on the ti, there are little graphs which show how much resources each patch is taking up. I believe it show 1 to 5 bars, with 5 being the most resources.

though to be honest, I find it hard to believe that two patches (even if they are maxed out in terms of system resources) could cause the TI to drop notes. Possibly a polyphony issue? how many simultaneous notes are you sending to the TI when both patches are playing?

2 notes per midi channel so 4 notes @ the same time...

ok, so it's not a polyphony issue and 2 patches with 4 out of 5 bars shouldn't be maxing out your TI's cpu's, so . . . .

I have no idea

right now I am thinking a bottleneck of getting the audio to your computer. have you tried a different usb port and/or cable?

another workaround would be: to bounce them to audio channels ... one by one
