Default Problem VIRUS C

Hello guys!!

I need your help!! I just got a Virus C, I have connected it and I've tried to start to work on it but I have a big problem..

The synth sounds perfectly but when i try to modify any parameter the sound doesnt change. I have checked the manual and I've found info about knob mode.. but the problem is still here.

Any recommendation?

Thanks in advance

Hi, Do you mean modifying parameters hands-on via the knobs, or via external MIDI?

I suspect the former user may have, for some unbeknown reason, selected external MIDI only, effectively de-activating the front panel.

If so, it's easily fixed.

Press the "CTRL" button, then go through the menus (using the "Parameter" arrow keys) until you see:

1 MIDI
Panel = MIDI

Then use the Value arrow keys to make Panel = Int+MIDI

'Int' stands for internal (meaning local control), so setting it 'Int+MIDI' means you can use both the onboard knobs and external MIDI to change parameters.

Hope this works.

^this

however, if you have the Virus C desktop (like I do), there's no CTRL button, in which case you'd have to search for similar function on the "main edit" menu and you'd be ok.

enjoy your Virus

Ah, appears they changed the button names slightly from Virus B to C.

Anyway, glad it worked. I could see how the lack of knob control could've been very alarming and frustrating.

Have fun. The Virus C is a very capable beast. Any problems or Q's, give us a shout.
