With the thread I linked to -
http://www.infekted.org/virus/showthread.php?t=30353
- I explain in detail on the first page with pics how I got Virus TI sidechaining to work on my Mac within Cubase 4.5.2; the "
III Virus TI" plugin I use as an insert does not appear in the PC version and this has been confirmed by several people within that thread and elsewhere...the best elaboration I can give is in that first post.
Also, your explanations within that thread lead me to think that the problem may also exist in Cubase 5 because you mention several things about VC being broken and needing to be fixed by Steinberg...but I don't own C5 and won't be upgrading so I can only comment on 4.5.2.
