Default Virus TI and Korg Nano series

I was wondering if it was possible to connect the Korg Nanopad or Nanocontrol directly to the TI keyboard without going through a PC. That would add extra pads and/or knobs to the Virus. Is that possible? If not, is it possible connect them via a laptop and assign functions to the nanopad/nanocontrol? How? THanks

the first of your two ideas is highly improbable if i'm correct in assuming the nano has no midi out. It would require specialized firmware and some spare juice to get the ti to read the nano via usb. The latter idea is easy tho. Install the nano, then use its software to map the correct midi cc's to its various controls. Then pick a midi channel on both devices and voila!

hope this helps.

i too was curious about when i first picked up the TI2

then someone told me that it's not possible, because the nanokey needs a computer / hub to send it instructions.

unless it's possible for some kind of adapter?

that would be really sweet if this worked
