It depends whats on your Firewire ports.

Your video card is also sharing with 2 PCI Express ports - whats on those as well?

I have a Firewire Powercore and a Firewire RME Fireface 400.
I sometimes get a Blue screen with my Firewire Powercore...And my Firewire RME Fireface 400 sometimes trys to reajust sample rates...
I have nothing running on PCIexpress...
But a have firewire on my Mobo and also a PCi firewire card

blue screens are definitely not good.
You should do everything you can to resolve that.

When you get the blue screen, half way down it should show you what generated the stop error

ex virususb.sys or something like that.

did you see something in there regarding the powercore?

The blue screen is always the powercore....I have disabled the Mobo Firewire in BIOS and am running my soundcard and my Powercore on my Lacie PCi firewire card, untill now no probs but it only Blue screened before now and then so i'll have to wait and see it it's better now
