I downloaded the bundle version from the virus website but when i tried to install it I got this message...

The log reads as follows:

Hi, when you say reinstall which software are you talking about? I can't uninstall sounddiver cause it never installed in the first place. I tried restarting and got the same error

Thanks for the info on the cc maps btw

What OS are you running? Also, I think there may be issues with SD and Intel macs.

I believe 10.4.8 was the last OS compatible with SD

For real? Im running 10.4.9. I dont suppose virus are planning on an update?

Would that mean I would have to go back to 10.4.8? and is there an easy way to do that?

Thanks

Just got this from virus support

Thank you for your mail. I'm very sorry to say, but SoundDiver is not Intel MAC compatible at all. This
program originally was developed by Emagic (now Apple) and they discontinued SoundDiver entirely,
so there won't be any Intel MAC compatible version for it.

Is there anything else I can use to arrange banks and presets?

Not AFAIK...

I do use THIS and there is also THIS on the horizon, but I dont think either is something to use to organize patches etc.

I remember something about MIDIQUEST but not sure if it is Intel compatible.

One thing you might be able to do is download the 10.4.9 COMBO update, and try runnning SD in Rosetta. I actually upgraded to 10.4.9 and havent checked if Sound Diver is still working. Let me go see now...

OK

On my PPC G5 1.6GHZ OS 10.4.9 (COMBO UPDATE)

Sound Diver is working as normal.

Im thinking that if you download the 10.4.9 COMBO UPDATE (Available from the Apple website) then Sound Diver should be able to run under Rosetta.

Give it a go and let us know how you get on...

Good luck!

Jase
