You must post some more pics once completion is near, and of course when all your gear is in place.

Jase, what matirials are you using to construct the traps and panels?
the health hazards of miniral based matirials \rockwool scares the shit out of me.
ive found some alternatives but which are bearly half as afficiant as fiberglass\rockwool (mass is alot smaller and also the density of the matirial)

do you think compressing the matirial to incress density could work?

I've acctually got great news today. A new studio is opening up nearby my place and I'll get loads of time in that studio (as far as the boss knew I was the only one that they know will use the studio).
But i know aswell that it will be a computerbased studio with recording options with 'regular' gear such as guitars, drums, keys and so on.

Who knows, maybe I'll be in charge of picking up some gear to the place as they wasn't really sure what they needed either. They've just heard that "A studio is almost a must."

I'll post a pic of that place later on.

Hey Tomer!

Im using some material called "Tontine", it is the 50mm version, but I think you can also get 100mm aswel. It is kinda like fibreglass/rockwool, but better I believe. Not quite sure what the NR (Noise Rating) is on these, but it is up there.

Like all Tontine's polyester insulation products, AcoustiSorb has been extensively tested by leading authorities in Australia to ensure that its acoustic, thermal, fire and safety ratings comply with industry standards.

I am constructing panel frame from wood, and then covered with some cotton/lycra material which is quite stretchy, and transparent (mainly for cosmetic reasons). These will then be hung some distance from the walls to increase absorption.

Compressing the material? I would maybe just double the layers if I were you. I will post some pics of the finished panels soon, I have completed one, only 7 more to go...

Madstation: Sweet set up! Love the masssive screens.... What are the monitors?

Merlot: Nice.... What is the big keyboard/piano/controller???
