On the subject....
this is my best supersaw sound. Sounds just like a Rank1 lead.

http://pdc.me.uk/mp3/van.mp3

Sounds a bit harsh and I don't make trance any more so I never actually put this lead to any kind of use

Made with my Virus B, btw.

ill have a go at boshing up a virus b supersaw. see how it sounds. but i assure you, there will be something about it that just doesnt feel as right as it does on the jp8000. cant explain it. i dunno. something about the filter. something about the highs which dont translate well - filter sweeped supersaw sounds too harsh when its all in on my virus b. i can adjust the filter 2 cutoff and res to remove the harshness and sibilance from the end of the filter sweep but it then loses something in the process - that huge momentum that you gather from bringing it in from nothing. i dont know. im reaching now.

But through contacts and experience I can tell you that the virus is, and will always prove to be the most popular VA for the dance and trance genre. People only seem to want the JP for the dedicated supersaw lead, i find the virus to do everything well, I'll soon prove this on my website!
perhaps. i think that im not too concerned about whether the virus is more popular or whether its more versatile. i really like the JP supersaw and im coming to the inevitable conclusion that im gonna have to get one if i want *that* sound.

i wanna kill 2 birds with one stone though and plump for a v-synth xt whenever i can pony up the dough. which will be long from now.
